The Grand Central Restaurant of the culture center Cent Quatre in Paris got refurbished in 2014 – designed and realised by Sebastien Wierinck / Onsite Studio. Tom Pawlofsky supported this project with the design of cement tiles that were custom-made in Morocco.
The design of the tiles is inspired by Truchet Tiles. We love the combination of only two different tile-designs and the non-repetitve overall pattern.
The basic design uses two different molds (left). To design the boarder of the floor, the molds are filled with different color settings (middle) and additional single-colored tiles are used.
